Data Integration

SAP Process Orchestration

SAP has been evolving its integration platform since the birth of XI in 2002. We have been on the journey with them since 2005 and the introduction of PI. The move from dual Java/ABAP stack to purely Java stack was a major milestone in runtime efficiency.

SAP Process Orchestration

In 2012 SAP brought out a platform to combine PI with Netweaver Business Process Management (BPM), Business Rule Management (BRM), and Business to Business (B2B) to give us Process Orchestration (PO).

Finally a solution that offered:

  • Connectivity – adapters for SOAP, SFTP, JMS, JDBC, OData, REST, EDI Separator, IDOC etc.
  • Routing – multiple receivers but also conditional receivers
  • Transformation – data conversion and mapping
  • Runtime – message monitoring, component monitoring and alerting
  • Workflow – NWBPM. Integration process coupled to a user approval process

SAP PO contains all the functionalities of PI, plus BPM and BRM in a single Java stack.

One platform offering seamless integration with SAP, a comprehensive set of adapters, central monitoring capabilities and user-friendly tools for developers e.g. Eclipse.
